We may also take & use a photo of you and your repaired item for our website / social media, you can opt out at any time, see below
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

To book your item in for repair using our third party booking system (tito who’s Privacy policy can be found here https://ti.to/privacy)

By the receipt of emails sent to us either using direct emails to any one of our email accounts and or via any contact form we may or may not use on our website ‘https://www.thebigfix.co.uk’

From filling out forms at any of our events

Having your photo taken with your repaired item during and or after repair
We use the information that you have given us in order to:

Offer you a volunteer repair at one of our events.

To enable us to communicate with you via email and phone if needed.

To use a photo of you and or your repaired item for our website(s) and or for social media posts on but not limited to to ‘Facebook’ ‘Instagram’ and ‘TikTok’
We will NEVER send you spam emails, calls or texts or sell your data.
Under exceptional circumstances, we may share this information.
If we have genuine concerns about an adult or a child being neglected or abused, or that an adult can’t look after themselves, we have a duty to notify the Hertfordshire County Council’s safeguarding team and/ or other Council’s where appropriate.
If we feel that anyone is in immediate danger, we have a duty of care to call the police.
In these cases, but these cases only, we may help the authorities with their inquiries by supplying the identifying details we hold, such as the name, email address and phone number of the person or people involved.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting bigfix@letchworthgardenshed.com and or letchworthgardenshed@gmail.com
(b) We have a contractual obligation.
(c) We need it to perform a public task.
How we store your personal information:
Your information is securely stored.
Information you have provided to book in your repair is held securely by https://ti.to along with us the ‘Big Fix’ in an electronic and or paper form.
We may use either paper or electronic forms to be filled out at our events by those attending. These (paper forms) are destroyed within 2 months of the event.
Electronic forms are kept for a max period of 3 months before being securely deleted unless otherwise needed for purposes of storing details of volunteer repairers which may include personal information such as your date of birth, address and other relevant information.

Under data protection law, you have rights including:
